King Arthur and the Secret of his Two Swords

Regina Sommer Regina Sommer   Germany-USA
Regina Sommer was born in Aachen, Germany and made her debut as a storyteller in 1992. Her repertoire is made of fairy tales, myths and legends, as well as her own stories and those of literary giants George Sand, Oscar Wilde, Hermann Hesse, Arthur Schnitzler, Tonino Guerra.

A fatherless boy named Merlin foresees a battle between two dragons and predicts chieftain Voltigern’s fate.

Thus, the story of the mighty King began long before his birth, when his father was still a child, and while Excalibur still rested in the arms of the Lady of the Lake, waiting for the one for whom it was made.

Rosalyn Cohen Rosalyn Cohen   Québec
A dedicated pioneer of storytelling in Montréal, Rosalyn is also highly regarded as workshop leader, festival organizer and educator. She has told stories on the radio, in schools and in concert in Canada, China, Ireland and Israel.

If "a nickel a pickle" makes you smile, come join us as we explore the Jewish golden mile. We will walk the nostalgic neighbourhood walk, and talk the Mordecai Richler talk.

Remember bolo bats, the yoyo and the jitterbug? Remember how our world smelled of chicken soup and Johnson's wax every Friday before the Sabbath? It was a world that reflected a Jewish family life that was work-intensive and respectful of tradition, life and learning. Bring your memories and comfortable shoes as we breathe life once more into our rich heritage. Unusual Setting
